Les Alfred
Les is the creator of Balanced Black Girl and host of Balanced Black Girl Podcast. She started her career in fitness as a personal trainer and fitness instructor in 2012 and launched her first blog The Balanced Berry in 2014 to share her love of fitness and nutrition with others. As a personal trainer and nutrition coach, Les spent over five years helping women reach their wellness goals in a balanced, sustainable way.
 After taking some time off from fitness in 2018, she pivoted to introduce Balanced Black Girl Podcast which is a dedicated space for conversations about health, wholeness, and self-improvement from the perspectives of Black women.

- Life with balance is tricky everyone is different 
- Give yourself space to move on 
- Allow yourself to transform relationships with people around you, if they don’t meet your needs, just shift. 
- In a process of rebuilding my own confidence I thought I was different, I tried to change myself but to be more confident means coming to myself 
- Yes I am dating now but I am picky! some things are non negotiable; it’s pandemic times so choose wisely i.e. who you could quarantine with 
- It’s very important to know where we are with our finances - visibility is key 
- Growing podcast must happen organically, people need to discover you
